could be an interesting topic... what are the main holocaust films that this film works against? i.e. to expose the false views of the holocaust... what was it that was exposed? i can't exactly remember the film, but it seems that the area it touches on is the gray area between being a supporter and a resister of teh nazi party. is this at all close?

there is also a film called "the gray zone" which came out in 2007, and deals, i think, with the role of germans who were forced into roles of exploiting other germans. it is based on a novel by a famous holocaust survivor, primo levi (who is someone worth knowing anyhow in terms of holocaust narratives). here is a review of the badness of the film: http://www.writing.upenn.edu/~afilreis/Holocaust/levi-greyzone.html. but it might be interesting to consider the role of the production. this is a lion's gate film (millenium productions). what does this mean? you might consider the production of schindler's list. and critiques of it based on problems similar to the ones described above. you might contrast it to a documentary or a low-budget, non-hollywood holocaust narrative film... these are just thoughts.
